TW-781 Mini Cessna 2 Ch Infrared Indoor RC Airplane

I knew the fun would be short lived when purchasing this little plane but it seemed like the best deal for what it was. My son is eight and had a blast playing with this little cessna. It really can handle a lot more than I expected, but once the circle widened and his friends started flying it too, it just couldn’t handle the pressure:) An adult could keep this little plane around for a long time but it will probably only make a couple of weeks max in the hands of a youngster unless they are very careful and don’t share:D I do not regret the purchase though. It was fun while it lasted. This little plane is made of fragile styrofoam and has tiny wiring and hook up points that are plastic. It does fly well, but must be handled carefully!

For a price of around $25, it flies pretty descent and you can have a lot of fun in a good size room. It is only a two way so it tends to fly in a swooping motion but with a little experience, you can get it to fly fairly steady. On the plus side, it is very small and durable. Crashes are not a problem for it. I would recommend it for someone looking for a small indoor airplane. The only thing is I wish I got the yellow one instead of the white one.

You’ll need a big space to fly indoors. You can get it off the ground in a small space but you’ll need some room to maneuver. A 2 car garage is big enough to fly in a circle in one direction, but doesn’t leave much room to do anything else. It will fly outdoors if still, but the infra red transmitter seems to have a very short range (under 10ft) in sunlight. The plane also seems to remember last command when it goes out of range, so if flying straight with throttle up, it will keep going a ways. My best luck has been to fly outdoors at night under artificial light. Without sunlight the transmitter seems to have at least about a 60ft range and the plane becomes pretty easy to control. I have had to snip the elevators on tail and bend down to keep plane from climbing and stalling (watch included video for tips). On the plus side, the plane seems to be pretty much indestructible with normal use. I’ve bounced off trees, walls and fences more times than I can count and it just bounces harmlessly off and is ready to go again. Not a precision plane by any stretch, but an entertaining little novelty.

Nice little plane. Does fly relatively easy. Like others have said, you would need a nice large living/family room to fly without crashing it into something. It does take off from the ground, if you have the space for it. I was able to fly it around in my living room in a constant circle for a good 10 loops or so.

My 7 year old loves it. He can fly it too.

I gave it 4 stars because of the fun factor. It’s fun and all, but how long can you fly the plane in a circle before it gets boring? But maybe I shouldn’t blame the plane for that, since it’s not the planes fault that I don’t have a larger living room that would allow me to flight other patterns.

The quality of the item was some better than expected. It is a good starter airplane. So far it seems quite durable. It would be a good inexpensive gift. It flies well inside but better outside in no wind. This compares to other indoor airplanes in flight charecteristics, but beats them in price. I liked it because of its appearance at first, but came to like it more due to its flight quality and durability. This one was for me but the next will be for my grandsons.

I returned mine for a new and got it within 1 week. Love the plane. Highly recommend it. Easy to fly and very entertaining.

My son loves r/c anything, and wanted a plane for a long time. He’s 6 though, so finding one that wasn’t too complex or difficult to operate, and didn’t break the bank in case it got broken, was very difficult. This turned out to be one of his favorites for Christmas. You might not think much of it when you open it – it’s VERY lightweight, essentially made of styrofoam with a couple of sensors- but the apparent drawbacks are actually what make it great. It flies much better than expected; he can easily operate it himself; the charge lasts maybe 20 minutes because it’s so light; and it can’t do damage to the walls (or really, to itself) when he flies it into them. Husband has almost as much fun with it. Very good value.

A nice 2 channel infrared plane, but goes a little to fast. I can’t fly it outside because the infrared sensor is too weak. You might need a gym for good flying.

I love this plane. I have been using several big RC planes, but this one ia great when the weather is bad.
